Andrew Davies

National Sales Manager / Wales & West
07879 014101
andrew.davies@abagri.com

Andrew has worked in the game industry for over 30 years, selling his first tonne of Sportsman Game Feed in 1985.

Born on a farm in Herefordshire, Andrew has always been involved in agriculture, both farming and sales. He is also an active member in two local shoots and enjoys the hands on side of shooting.

One of the best parts of the job for Andrew is seeing the fantastic shooting estates and meeting the great characters that make up the Game keeping world, many of whom have been customers for years.

When not working he enjoys watching rugby and spending as much time as possible with his seven grandchildren.

Mark Jolliffe

Sales / South East / East Anglia
07718 253 213
mark.jolliffe@abagri.com

Born in Dorset and raised on a dairy farm, a career in agriculture was never in doubt for Mark.  His family made the decision to sell the family farm just before his teenage years, sending him out to find his own path within the industry.

After completing a BSc in Agricultural Business Management at Reading University, Mark joined AB Agri in 2013 as a commercial graduate. The AB Agri graduate scheme offered a fantastic grounding to the commercial side of the industry, where he experienced many parts of AB Agri's diverse and innovative business. After 2 years as a graduate Mark joined the ABN poultry team as a junior account manager. 2017 saw Mark promoted to account manager, where he managed an every growing portfolio of poultry accounts, specialising in broiler breeders.

When offered the opportunity to move to Sportsman as an integral part of our sales team in the East of England Mark jumped at the chance.  No longer having a farm of his own, there is nothing Mark loves more than visiting farms and talking with customers. He is very excited that working for Sportsman will offer more opportunity than ever to do that and he can’t wait to get started having been working from home since March!

To escape the cabin fever, this year in particular, Mark enjoys long walks with his fiancée Jodie (they are one of the many couples who’s wedding plans were interrupted by COVID) and getting out on his bike for long cycles in the beautiful countryside surrounding Stamford, Lincolnshire, where they have lived for the past 4 years.

Chris Boult

Sales/ South West
07802 596 773
chris.boult@abagri.com

Born in Somerset to a family who enjoyed hunting, shooting and fishing, Chris has been involved in farming and field sports from an early age. This love of the outdoors influenced his decision to study Agricultural Economics at Reading University and subsequently let to his career in agricultural sales. Chris's passion is selling game feed, so when the opportunity arose to pursue a career with Sportsman he jumped at the chance! Chris is really looking forward to being out and about in the coming months, meeting those involved in the game rearing and shooting industry and getting to know you all.

In his spare time Chris enjoys the occasional round of golf as well as shooting FITASC at local clay grounds. Chris, along with his wife of 30 years, is fortunate to be a member in a local shoot syndicate where they enjoy both the shooting and picking up.

Murray Brown

Sales / North / North West
07783780767
murray.brown@abagri.com

Born and raised in the Scottish Borders, Murray has been surrounded by the agricultural industry and countryside his whole life. Growing up he developed a passion for the outdoors through his family, where he often found himself visiting different farms around Scotland or mixing with people from across the industry.

After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Rural Business Management from the Scottish Rural University College, Edinburgh in 2018, Murray joined Glenrath Farms near Peebles, working within their recently established liquid egg processing factory. The Smashing Egg Company delivers a fresh product to major food manufacturers across the UK. As Operations Manager, he managed the day-to-day production and logistics of deliveries within the company.

Outside of work Murray enjoys staying fit and active. On a Saturday afternoon he will be found playing rugby for his home town club, Peebles Rugby Club, where he has progressed through from school into the senior first XV set up. Off the rugby pitch he enjoys spending time in the countryside with the occasional round of golf, walks with his black Labrador Nero and socialising with his family and friends.

Dr Laura Beeson

Nutrition
laura.beeson@abagri.com

After growing up in Lincolnshire and spending time in rural Nottingham, Scotland, Wiltshire and Indiana (USA) for her studies, Laura returned close to where she spent her childhood when she moved to Peterborough to join ABN as a Poultry Nutritionist. Having always had an interest and love for animals and science, Laura studied Animal Science at the University of Nottingham and followed this by completing a Ph.D. in Poultry Nutrition at SRUC.

Laura quickly made an impact within ABN through working on product development, improvement strategies and university and commercial research trial work. After taking a particular interest in game bird nutrition, Laura also took on product development for Sportsman. She has firmly settled into the team and is enjoying learning more about the game industry and the challenges it faces, particularly as it’s less-documented and researched than other poultry species.

Outside of work, Laura likes to travel and spend time with family and friends. Volunteering as a dog walker for the Cinnamon Trust, she gets to enjoy the company of dogs whilst her other commitments make having her own dog difficult. Laura can often be found in the gym, or challenging her partner to a variety of board/card games to add to an on-going competitive tally!
